Hi Mariarosa, <BR> <BR>Yes - I have been to Val d'Aosta, - but not recently. I prefer the Dolomites, though. There's nowhere to compare scenically, IMO. <BR> <BR>I can't compare them as ski resorts as I don't ski, but yes, Courmayeur is a more attractive village than Cervinia. <BR>Cervinia offers great views of the Matterhorn, Courmayeur of Mont Blanc. <BR>And the Grand Paradiso National Park is beautiful. I'm sure you'll enjoy that area too. <BR> <BR>Thanks to you as well as Diane for the Washington Post lead. Very interesting reading! <BR> <BR>Steve
