This one made me laugh first thing (my husband is looking at me suspiciously)
The question should be: Is there ANYONE who likes a sunny-side up egg on a pizza?
And if they answer yes, find out what they are drinking!

A lightly cooked egg on a pizza is wonderful. My wife and I have only had the pleasure of it in Paris (didn't see it in Italy). Funny how folks so quickly dismiss things without ever trying them. Guess there are a lot of picky eaters out there.

You're all making me nostalgic - back in college in NC there was a pizza delivery joint called Wild Bull's that had a "Breakfast Pizza" topped with scrambled egg, onion, sausage, peppers, cheese, and bacon (no tomato sauce, kinda like a huge breakfast burrito) and many's the night when you could walk through the dorms at 3 AM on a weekend and see people passed out with a half-eaten breakfast pizza in an open box on the floor... those pizzas were a great, GREAT drunk food.

I don't like the idea at all. For me, eggs don't go particularly well with tomatoes, which, to me, is the distinctive thing about pizza. Once you start turning it into some gigantic smorgasbord of this and that, it stops being pizza.

If I want an egg on toast, that's what I'll have.

Having started this, I should mention FWIW that, when I ordered, I pointed to the egg-lees item on the menu, said as best I could (French-like) "non oeuf" shaking my head left to right, and waving my hands in front of me as though to fend off the egg bandit.
So I got egg. Since it took 20 minutes to attract the waiter's attention just to order, I ate the pizza, egg and all.
Didn't dry retch, as our Aussie friend so aptly described.

Brian, what would make you think that a person who detests half cooked eggs would have to actually order a pizza with one to know he doesn't like it? Seems pretty clear to me. And that doesn't mean "picky".

I've never ordered a pizza with chocolate syrup on it either, and I don't think I need to order one to see if I like it or not. Does that make me picky, too?

Eeeewwwww. That is just wrong! Eggs and pineapple ruin the best food in the world.

Thin crust, tomatoes, cheese that is just pure delight. If I want an egg I will order one with toast and sausage, not on my pizza!

I thought this question was a yolk - it really cracked me up! I can't imagine an egg nesting in the middle of a pizza.

Now, I'm not chicken about trying new foods, but you won't find me scrambling to order this pizza! It isn't eggsactly what I think of when seleggting toppings for pizza.

Incredible!

You don't know what you're missing, all you naysayers! The pizza Fiorentina w/egg at Pizza Express in London rocks! I crave it on occasion.

My wife and I oredered the Pizza Cap Ferrat, in Cap Ferrat of course. It came out of the incredibly hot oven and they dropped an egg in the middle of it. As they brought it to the table the egg set up (due to the intense heat). It was fantastic. So, I guess technically I shouldn't have replied to the post "Who else dislikes..." as we loved it.

None for me at any time as I don't care for eggs.

Years ago when we ordered a pizza at Pino's in Paris, I guess we overlooked the 'oeuf' (if it was even listed on the menu) and got eggs on our pizzas. After the initial shock and laughter, we both actually enjoyed it.

DH is a pizza addict, and needs a fix on a long trip, so we always manage to have a meal at Pino's during a lengthy stay in Paris.

They have great salads and those are hard to find in Paris as your main dinner course. There are branches all over Paris. The one on the Champs-Elysees is gigantic, three floors I think, and is always packed with locals, young people and well dressed older people too. A varied menu, not just pizza.

Hi
We've had pizza in europe with sunnside up eggs, tolerable not that bad. BUT my wife almost retches when she thinks of the pizza we had many years ago in Budapest. It came with peas and carrots, that looked like it was from a frozen veggie package.

Fresh oven baken pizza, topped with tomato, mushroom, runny egg, asparagus and parma ham - don't knock it until you've tried it - delicious and so fresh tasting when asparagus is in season...

We saw this as Pizza Anglaise in Fontvielle and decided better not.

However, in Bayeux we had pizza Bolognaise, which was absolutely terrific: cheese pizza with a spread of ragu on the top.

I have no idea. You'll have to tell me what it is. But if it's some sort of raw egg, pineapple, and chocolate syrup concoction, I'll pass.

Aeiger, we had pizza in Prague years ago that had diced carrots, peas and brocoli on it... and octopus tentacles! And frankfurter sausages. Very bizarre.

Of course we had no idea what we were ordering because the menu was entirely in Czech.
