... yes, you did, I'm bowing out of this discussion, LOL, the Italians win!!!

BrimhamRocks Aug 27th, 2003 01:21 PM

See, I KNEW someone would mis-read that, LOL.

Nope, not Janet......JEAN! I've been infatuated with him for years.

MizzEve Aug 27th, 2003 01:23 PM

I believe that there is beauty in each individual....

That said, I prefer American men in general.

Why?

Because we are an extremely diverse society. Any kind of man that I want is right here. I want a Black man, he's down the street. I want a red head, he's around the corner. I want body builder, I know where to go. I want someone with an accent, he's not far. I want an educated man, he's a telephone call away. I want an Asian, he works down the block. I want a good ol' boy, he's here too. Any type of man that I want is available in the United States. Both snipped and unsnipped. Tall and short. Fat and thin. Blue collar and over-educated. Dark, light and every shade in between.

Of course, a hottie is a hottie no matter where he lives. I totally agree with BR re: Jean Reno. I think it's the big nose and dark eyes that turns me on. Not to mention that he's got a pretty nice bod.

Here's another Euro hottie:

Olivier Martinez

But, pchsmiles, you win Mr. Congeniality and will take home a lovely parting gift.

Calamari Aug 27th, 2003 03:27 PM

Let's make PCH an honorary Italian!

pchsmiles Aug 28th, 2003 05:42 AM

... grazie mille!

RLA Aug 28th, 2003 08:34 AM

I am drawn to handsome Latin men (think the Mario Lopez of today if you have seen him in recent years)and especially those with charming accents. I guess that would encompass a variety of nationalities. Also, Italian stallions if they look anything like Tony Danza (my long-term Hollywood crush as far back as I can remember - don't laugh please!) They are not sophisticated, but oh so handsome and charming - to me. DH likes to tease me about this. Come to think of it, he is very much like the American version of them, but with a moderate Texas accent.

RLA Aug 28th, 2003 08:38 AM

P.S. When I go to Rome, I might be accused of having "roman eyes", and this does not I would be mistaken for a native! .... Just kidding!

ErinS Aug 28th, 2003 08:48 AM

BrimhamRocks: I totally agree Jean Reno is a babe!! Not Hollywood handsome, but he just has that special something. Gabriel Byrne is another hottie...I need to get to Ireland and make myself a Gabriel/Colin Farrell sandwich...

BrimhamRocks Aug 28th, 2003 08:53 AM

lol Erin

Another one that gets my pulse racing is Antonio Sabato Jr. He's completely different than Jean Reno - more 'young Hollywood', is how I'd put it. Still, he ain't so bad! :)

Whew!

Poohgirl Aug 28th, 2003 10:15 AM

My experience has been that European men are more attentive than American men but generally no better or nicer; they seem to be similar in that way.
I agree with the Latin/Italian men being somewhat on the short side for my taste (I'm medium-tall). I've never spent much time in the Netherlands, but there was this tall, sweet, gorgeous Austrian-Hungarian man who will always have a special place in my heart.

pchsmiles Aug 28th, 2003 10:23 AM

... RLA, my ritual on travel days is to discover one funny thing so I can laugh on the way to the airport. Bless your heart!!! You know what it is too .... don't you. Long time crush? Oh no, no, no, lol.

... Let me take a flyer and guess something ... okay, we don't know each other, right? So there's no way you've prepped me with knowledge about your innermost thoughts and desires. But I just bet you were crushed when Rob was thrown out of the mansion by Erin Monday night. No fibbing now, don't say "who?".

kismetchimera Aug 28th, 2003 01:07 PM

Ladies, how about the intrepid, courageous, sexy, mr Bond?
I am referring to the Forever Young, the only Mr. Bond, as far I am concerned, Sean Connary...He is still great for his age, and the favourite dream man for many women around the world..All the others are cute, but give me Mr. Bond any time...

Statia Aug 28th, 2003 01:39 PM

I agree Kismet! He's old enough to be my dad, but I certainly wouldn't kick him out of bed!

kismetchimera Aug 28th, 2003 02:14 PM

Statia, what can I say?...We have Excellent TASTE...:)

Koshka Aug 28th, 2003 02:28 PM

Since I'm 5'10" in bare feet (married to a 6'er), my first requirement is that my men have to be taller than I am.

That eliminates most Italian men. :-(

I must admit that I seldom look at any other men besides DH, but Sean Connery could still catch my eye!

LeCanard Aug 28th, 2003 10:57 PM

Tony Danza ? Who is this dance/ballet stallion ?

rotaka Oct 3rd, 2005 08:15 PM

The sexiest men in Europe are Italian-sorry. They are so passionate and sensual..they've got seduction down to an art. There are also so many many handsome men there-it's hard not to go man crazy. However, they are for the most part-short. It's hard to find an Italian guy that is like over 5'10 liek you said Koshka. What's up with that?

Voyager2006 Oct 3rd, 2005 10:41 PM

"Short"????? How much does it take for you?

rotaka Oct 3rd, 2005 10:54 PM

When I say short I am talking about height and I hope that is what you understood.
