Would someone have any practical i nformation regarding whirling dervishes sema that takes place twice a month in Galat mevlihane ? Could we book in advance ?

We asked our hotel to get us tickets. Make sure you arrive early since there are more people than seats.

Tickets are limited, but even if you are unable to secure them, you can still see the performance at the train station.

Besides; if you are coming to Cappadocia, you can see the ceremony at 12th century Seljukian caravanserai as well.

Thanks to all for your contributions.
Seems that my hotel is ready to help.
But, we are still worried as we shall arrive in Istanbul on saturday evening
(7 pm/8pm ?) and wish to attend Sema on sunday afternoon (5 pm ?).
On a practical point of view, how can we succeed in getting reservations, tickets and seats ?

I don't see a problem if the hotel will get you the tickets in advance. Seating is not assigned.
