Which vacationinparis apartment?
 

Me again. I have posted my apartment dilemmas on two threads but didn't want this request to get lost, so please bear with me. After MUCH research, I am very pleased with this agency - vacationinparis. There are three apartments I am considering (along with one homestay.com). Can you help choose? This would be for one week in June. The apartment number 219 has no air conditioning but the other two do. Would no ac be a problem in June? Also, which location is best - Marais, Eiffel Tower, or Luxembourg Garden/Palais Royal? Thanks!!!

All of the apartments do look lovely. For me #157 seems best because of the other two I believe one is on the fifth floor and one on the sixth and if I read correctly there are no elevators in any of these buildings.

Well, I like different things about each apartment but if I had to choose, I guess it would be #157 as well. I didn't notice that this one had a/c either but at least it's not on a high floor of a building where it could be hotter and a long climb. To me, this apartment is in an area
more central to most of the attractions you'll visit. It will be easier to return to the apartment after sightseeing to relax before going out again for dinner.

It isn't huge for four people but at least you'll each have your own bedroom.

I couldn't exactly tell from the floorplan but it says every room has a large window but it doesn't look as though the second bedroom has a window unless the (sliding?) door is kept open. This room could go to whoever are the late sleepers if it doesn't bother you.

I'd choose between 219 and 156... probably 156 would win out but I like stairs and I'd consider it a plus being on a higher floor.
157 is expensive and I really don't like the decor!

Stairs don't matter. In fact, my sister-in-law will probably be up at dawn running up and down them! (I'll be sleeping!)

Area wise I'd go with #157. I find transportation meager in the 7th and no way would I climb 5 flights of stairs to a fifth floor apt ( French 4th is US 5th floor)

Yikes, cw, I thought 157 had AC, but now it looks like it doesn't! So only 156 has AC. We always get a place with AC in summer but we have only gone to Italy which I assume is hotter in June.

I vote for air conditioning in the summer months. It's quite possible that you won't need it during your stay, but you can't know that now. Also, you might want to inquire how the apt. is air conditioned. It's very rarely central AC that we're so used to in the US. FYI: the Luxembourg Gardens are in the 5th arrondissement and the Palais Royal is is the 1st, so they're not near each other as your post suggested. You'll find that Paris is really an easy city to navigate. You'll love it. EJ ((#))

We were in Paris the first week of June a few years ago and it was warm on our day of arrival and stayed in the 60s and 70s, overcast mainly, the rest of the time. That's anecdotal, of course, but spending June on a high floor of a building probably can get hot. We had a/c but never turned it on.

I still think 157 is the best located apartment. Easy, central location for you to come and go.

I'd probably choose the one with AC if you're going with people who need it. If you decide you don't absolutely need AC, I'd take the place by Luxembourg Garden. How nice to be by the gardens in June.

I do love the Marais but the area of that apartment, though extremely central, is a tiny bit too busy for me. I like being out in the 3rd rather than in the thick of the 4th.

On the other hand, these all look nice and I bet you'll have a great time in any of them. Enjoy your trip.
