Which Transylvania Cities to Visit?
 

My wife and I will rent a car in Cluj and then spend 5 -6 days visiting cities in Transylvania. Which 2 cities would you suggest for us to visit and spend a few days? We do not want to be changing hotels each day. That is why I'm asking for the top two. After those days & visits, we will drive to Bistrita to visit friends. After that, we will return to Cluj to fly back to the US.

Timisoara
Brasov
Targu Mures
Sighisoara
Sibiu

Stay at Sighisoara and do dy trips to Sibiu and Brasov.

Sighisoara is bursting with charm and is definitely worth a day trip. Personally I would stay in Brasov. It's a bigger city but not huge, and it has a very nice town square.

Sibiu for the town itself and the skansen at the edge of town.



You probably could do a day trip from Sibiuto visit Hundoara


Subiu was in the process of being restored to become a EU cultural capital. It probably looks much better now.
