Opéra is scheduled to re-open on May 19. Here's the renovation schedule for the entire Métro: http://www.ratp.fr/corpo/rnm

The Westin is several blocks from the RER line - not too far to walk if you aren't tired and burdened with luggage.
Châtelet (with its EIGHT intersecting train lines) is arguably the most formidable point for a transfer, which is what you would have to do if you continued by Métro - and this route would leave you with a hundred-yard walk from the station to the Westin.
So here's what I'd do: ride RER B from CDG to Châtelet. Follow the signs to the SORTIE and make your way to Rue de Rivoli. Get on the westbound (Direction St-Cloud) N° 72 bus. Alight at Castiglione (should be the 5th stop) and walk a few yards to your hotel.
