Which RER line?

In typing up our itinerary and transportation schedules/info for upcoming trip to Europe, it looks like we take the RER B line from CDG in Paris to our St. Michel stop, but arriving later in trip at Orly, we take the RER C line to St. Michel.
Doesn't the C-line arch around the left bank and head to Versaille? I thought Orly was in the south-central! Looking at the Metro map, looks like RER B runs all the way from CDG to Orly. I'm confused - can anyone help?

By the way, I got Orly info from fodors.com miniguides.

Go to www.ratp.com and click on the "English" version (upper right) and you'll get all the answers..or hang around here and get opinions!

Thanks! I'll check the site right now, and post whatever I find.

The C-line has several branches, and the map reflects it as a loop around the southern section of Paris.
(RER C-2, C-4 or C-6)

I went on the RSTP website and found that either way, you take a shuttle (or Orlyval) to the RER. For RER B, you take the Orlyval to Antony, then pick up the RER. For Line C, you take a shuttle to Pont De Rungis Aeroport D'Orly, then RER C (in direction of Champ de Mars). So I guess we won't get lost!

The RER C, heading from St. Michel to Les Invalides, is not running at this point due to renovation work. You have to a take a bus (by the Seine near the Place St. Michel). The bus only makes the RER stops, i.e., Musee d'Orsay and then Les Invalides. To make up for the inconvenience, the bus is free (no tickets required, just hop on).
