Which one should I rent; the Renault Laguna or Renault Safrane

Have finally narrowed down my choices for our rental car to France. My choice is either the Renault Safrane or Renault Laguna. Are there noticeable differences between these cars and if so what are they. Plus, can anyone tell me what American cars these would be similar too. Have tried the Renault website but it give no comparisons or dimensions. This is my last major decision to make for our vacation so any help will be greatly appreciated.

Here's a pic of the Laguna: http://www.renault.be/gamme/pictures/intro_laguna.jpg.
If you need much space, take a Laguna Family: http://www.renault.be/gamme/pictures...guna_break.jpg

Safrane is an older model that is not anymore listed. Was about the same size.
Forgot to mention the Safrane the about $180.00 more to rent than the Laguna. If it is an older model and about the same size like Myriam said why does it cost more to rent? By the way, thanks Myriam for the quick response.

The Auto Europe site www.gatherround.com/u203067a234331pQueFume.invt describes the Laguna as a "mid-size" 5 passenger car similar to VW Passat.
It describes the Safrane as a "full-size" 5 passenger similar to BMW 500 series. If you try this site you can click on picture of car ("zoom") and get more info. Have fun in France!

I don't know how that other URL slipped in there. I should have posted:
http://www.autoeurope.com/car.cfm

The AutoEurope site also says what kind of American car the Renaults are similar to.
