Which On-Line Directions Best

I am trying to get directions to/from various places we will be in Italy. Which on-line directions site do you like the best?<BR>Thanks !

Whichever on-line directions you choose, buy a good road atlas or map. I used mapquest for directions on a trip to the UK and ended up throwing them away and using a AA Road atlas for the rest of the trip. I recently got a map for business in Washington DC and the map led me almost two blocks away from where I needed to be. (I ended up calling for directions.) And if you ask for directions to my house you will be told to turn east on a non-existent road. Use on-line for general info but make sure you have a good map.

I agree very much so! I just came back from Germany and the theme of our trip was Lost In Germany. ;o) I never use MapQuest because I always get wrong directions from them. We ended up buy a map while Germany which was excellent! If you use online sites I recommend MSN.

Hi. Just got back yesterday. We used www.viamichelin.com and got by just fine between our printed directions and a map. Have a great trip!
