I'm going to disagree with people for a second just to add another perspective.

I think two cities for 3 days each might be OK. You wont see everything there is to see, but you will get a feel of two cities and will enjoy both and have different experiences.

Paris and Rome can each be a two week trip, but three days you can see the sites you most want to see and go back another time.

I would skip London though. Paris and Rome are more interesting for a first trip.
