The Bank of England Museum will be if we have time but not a must see.
Lateday--We are planning on traveling in the Southeast of England--Kent/Sussex and to London. |
Docklands, well most museums grab me but apart from "the big stink" I felt that it was more like the meaningless museums the government put in around 2000 to consume some tax payer's money, most now destroyed.

Here's 50 museums to get your teeth into
from a bell foundry to the Freud museum to a sewing machine museum http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/de...-part-one.html |
Bilbo,
"...the meaningless museums the government put in around 2000 to consume some tax payer's money, most now destroyed." Just wondering - what museums in London did not survive??? |
Not sure about London, but the music thing in Sheffield has died while the Birmingham thing is just a massive drain.

I quite liked the Royal Observatory museum. It didn't take that long to see it but like the facts about the observatory and the fact that you can straddle the prime meridian. It's in a nice park which was great for a nice day out.
I also saw the Naval museum which is nearby and it was ok, but I probably should have spent a little more time there. |
my top 3 are:
Wallace Collection..even though some rooms will be closed, check the website for the schedule it has some really great art British Library . a treat Tate Britain if you wont have a lot of time you can select the art you prefer to see.. also there are some late nights so you can arrive later in the day or early evening if that works for you. |
