It's interesting to hear Kellye's Mac experience. I just upgraded to Leopard and all of my software and all of my old peripherals still work! Leopard even works on a 6 year old Mac that I gave to one of my students. Imagine that! Vista? I don't think I'll upgrade my Intel Mac to that anytime soon. I don't use the Windows side of my Mac much - mainly to run my Garmin software.

Vista? No, no! I just bought a new computer (PC variety) from an outfit (Intrex) that assembles them from the parts you choose, and I asked them how many customers were opting for Vista rather than XP. Hardly any, they said! (I certainly I wanted XP myself.)

Sshepard,
I had to read your email to my husband...who laughed! He hasn't installed Leopard yet, but I bought him a copy of Windows XP for Christmas to load after he does. He also wants the Windows side to run his Garmin software!
I really didn't have an opinion on Vista, until I bought a refurbished Dell laptop for my 13yo for Christmas (couldn't afford another Mac in the house right now!). It came preloaded with Vista and since it was a refurb, I didn't have an option. So far, I really don't like it. It doesn't seem as stable as XP. I'm seriously considering rolling her back!

I love these ipod questions. I love my ipod mainly because I can go to amazon and download great tunes and everything that is downloaded will play not only on my ipod, but any mp3 player regardless of mp3 player brand. Itunes uses those what MP4 files???
Also I can build play lists right from my computer that will sync up with my ipod. Pretty cool. Now most mp3 players can do that and that is not that big of a deal, but ipods do it so effortlessly.
I can go from Bugs Henderson to Savoy Brown to Grateful Dead as easily as a politician can lie.
Now playing:
Kool aid Kids by Bloodrock
Last man on earth by Gamma
Last year I had a playlist for everyday I was there.
