Which Marriott to stay in while visiting Paris??
 

I will be in Paris for probably three nights in mid-June. Which Marriott is a good one to stay in? I am not familiar with any of them. I can stay in any of the 5 star Marriotts.

Maybe the following?

Renaissance Paris Vendome Hotel - 4, Rue du Mont Thabor


Paris Marriott Hotel Champs-Elysees - 70 Avenue des Champs-Elysees


Hotel Le Parc - Trocadero Paris - 55-57 Avenue Raymond

The R. Vendome is the best located.

The RPV gives you easy access to Metro, taxis and lots of fine restaurants, including an Irish pub across the street. Go for it.

I disagree with Travelnut's assessment that the Vendome is the best located. We stayed many times at Hotel Le Parc when it was a Sofitel and thought the location was wonderful.
It's in an upscale residential area with plenty of cafes, shops and restaurants around. A two minute walk from the Victor Hugo metro stop (and from the Place Victor Hugo which is also served by buses), a less than five minute stroll from the Trocadero and the drop-dead gorgeous views of the Eiffel Tower and the Trocadero metro stop (plus more cafes). The hotel is just up the street from boulangerie Lesk, our favorite artisanal bakery in Paris and a great place for breakfast.
The Hotel Le Parc has one of the prettiest outdoor terraces in all of Paris and will be perfect for a drink in June.

I would probably vote with Btilke on this one, also, for myself, but really I think both the Parc and the Vendome would be perfectly fine locations, and I'd put the Champs-Elysees last in desirability. Any of these hotels are certainly fine, though. The Champs-Elysees is a just a very busy, business thoroughfare, and things are expensive around there. However, some poeple actually do like that location and think it is very convenient and exciting, I guess. It's hard to guess what anyone's individual taste will be.

For someone who has never been to Paris before (I'm guessing), I think the Vendome might be the best bet, however.

My use of "best located" was in terms of the map and typical sights, not the local 'ambience'. (Not that there's anything wrong with Place Vendome).

I think I might have to end up at the Champs-Elysees due to availability with points, etc....is it in a good location??? Close to the metro?

I take that back....Vendome is available as well....crap....I can't decide? Which is closer to attractions and metro and sights, etc.?

If you have a Paris tourism map handy, plot the two hotels on it and see for yourself.

Vendome, look , CE is south, there is nothing around there by the Arc D Triomphe, and to the east ET,, look at a map , Vendome is more " in the middle" between Arc, ET , Orsay, Notre Dame , etc. Never mind left bank right bank , just walk across the darn bridges... LOL
anyways sorry for my unscientific explaination, as I said, just plot it on the map.. or should I say as Travelnut said.

I vote for the Renaissance. We stayed there last May and I like the location. Try to get their junior suites because the rooms are small. They also have a great restaurant called Pinxo.

we are staying at the Marriott Hotel Champs-Elysees. They had points availability and Vendome did not.
