Which location has the best value?
 

I am debating on going to Kiev, Prague, Warsaw, or Moscow and was curious if someone who was familiar with these cities could recommend one over the other. I am not cheap but saving some money on a nice hotel and food is always a nice thing.

I haven't been to Warsaw but I think you would do better in prague then Kiev or Moscow. Prague has many lovely places to stay in a bunch of different price ranges. In my experience in the former SSRs you really need to stay in a 4-5* western owned hotel (and prices are quite steep) to avoid some very unpleasant experiences.

When researching for a trip to Russia, I read that Moscow hotels are among the most expensive in the world.

Wow I would have thought Moscow to be a good value? That is amazing the hotels would be so expensive but hey it saves me some travel time as well :) Still would like to visit sometime but maybe I will go to Kiev and think of the old USSR :)

Don't forget to price the Visas - $100 US each for Russia plus another $50 US each for the travel agent. Zero for Prague & it's a lovely city. Consider the Renaissance Hotel - we loved it and are returning in August.
