Which is closest BA airport for Verona?
I need to fly from Verona to London and I have to take British Air. Is it quicker/easier to go to Marco Polo in Venice or Malpensa/Milan or somewhere else? Thanks very much.

Why not fly from Verona? I just checked and BA flies from Verona to London Gatwick.

Thanks Federico. I need to catch a transatlantic flight at Heathrow. I've done that bus transfer between airports and it isn't any fun. I think it best to fly into LHR. Thanks for your help though.

Train times between Verona-Venice vary from 1H20 to 1H50 minutes (to Maestre); between Verona and Milan (Centrale) as little as 1H18minutes via Eurostar. Hope this helps

WishIswasthere,
You definitely want to fly from Venice Marco Polo (VCE). Much easier to reach from the train station (Venezia Mestre) than Milano Malpensa is. Check out: www.trenitalia.com for train schedules to Mestre and http://www.atvo.it/eng/airport.php?l....ihtm&id=1 for the bus to the airport (17 min. journey time). Hope this helps, Andre |
Venice is easier to reach, and much nicer than Malpensa, but there is only one flight a day to Heathrow with BMI - all BA flights from there arrive at Gatwick.
Your only options to get into Heathrow with BA are either Milan Malpensa or Milan Linate (closer than Malpensa). I've also done the bus transfer between LHR and LGW and I agree that it isn't fun (I thought it was quite expensive too). Federico |
Thanks everyone for their help!
