Which high speed trains to reserve?

Hello All!
My huband and I are doing a 2 week trip to Europe, and not sure which trains we can/should reserve along the way. We purchased Eurail passes for France and Italy. We are starting in Paris, heading to Chamonix, then to Cinque Terre, to Rome, then to Venice. We are leaving the U.S. on June 27th, and returning home from Venice on July 11th. We are trying to piece together all of our traveling plans before we go, and would like to avoid any "surprise" traveling nightmares that could have been prevented. Any info. is helpful because we are clueless! Thanks!!

I can't see needing a pass for this itinerary as point-to-point tickets will likely be much more cost effective. Can you get a refund?

All the fast trains in Italy require seat reservations (10€ each - mandatory). Some of the trains in France limit the number of passholders. Here's a list of train supplements.

You can book part of your Italian trains on Trenitalia (only the fast trains, slow trains don't reserve seats).

like you, we are doing three cities in Italy this summer and booked two high speed trains with Italia Rail to get from city to city

http://www.italiarail.com/

it cost $80 for both of us (approx $40 each), per train. So, around $160 for both of the trains.

You didn't need a rail pass. Try to get a refund.
