WHICH CITY SHOULD I CHOOSE?

I have the chance to spend 3 nights in Cophenhagan or Stockholm before embarking on a cruise. Any feedback on where to spend my time?

Hi frani,

Terrible dilemma.

Copenhagen has the Tivoli Gardens, Smørresbrod, Wienerbrod, Danish cheese, the Strojet, Nyhavn and Akvavit.

You can visit the Frederiksborg Castle; 40 min by train.
See http://wictor.dk/wictor/frederiksborg/frbSlot.html

Stockholm is also nice.

Both are so beautiful you will enjoy your stay in either city, but personally I would choose Copenhagen. I liked Stockholm very much, but Copenhagen looks like a city from a fairy tale. In addition to Ira's good suggestions, be sure to take a canal ride.

I will definitely be getting to both cities from the cruise for one full day. I was trying to figure out which one i would need more time and see more interesting things .

If it's springtime, I'd pick Copenhagen. If it's summer, I'd go with Stockholm. If it's fall, I'd choose Copenhagen again.

The reason for that is that Copenhagen is not as far North as Stockholm and might feature a bit better weather along with more possibilities for indoors activities, whereas Stockholm and its marvellous Skaergarden (small islands scattered off the coast) for daytime excursions are particularly attractive during Summers, IMO.

Hi frani,

One day is not enough for either city. You will have to go back to both Denmark and Sweden.
