Which castle-- Glengarry or Castle Stuart or Tulloch Castle?

I have narrowed the list to these three, because of location and price. They all look great, can anyone help in comparing the three? I noticed that none of my guidebooks (including Scotland's Best) mentions either Tulloch or Stuart, I am not sure why. We are planning to spend three nights. Thanks!

Tulloch is a leetle, how you say, down at heel.

I shouldn't really judge Castle Stuart because I've not been, but I get te impression it's a bit, well, fake? For the tourists?

Glengarry would have been my pick of those three for sure.

Thanks so much for the candid response. I think we will probably stay a couple of nights at Glengarry. For our next accomodation (convenient to the NE) we were deciding between the Castle Hotel Huntly (93/night) or the Maryculter house (78/night). Are you familiar with either of these? I have not found any reviews on tripadvisor, where I usually look.

I know them both. It's a no brainer. Maryculter's in a different league. Beautiful location, lovely and very historic building, good condition et al.

Have you looked at Pittodrie House? Or Kildrummy castle? Either might be good alternatives.

Thank you so much for your response, I have been struggling over that one...I did see the others you mentioned, but they are about twice the price as the Maryculter. If I were to spring for one, it would most likely be the Kildrummy-- do you think it would be worth the extra expense?

In a nutshell, no. If you're going to be there on a Friday or Saturday, tho', check if they have any weddings booked.
