Which bus from Bratislava train station
Hello! I will be arriving at the Bratislava main train station. I have read in previous posts to take the x13 bus to old town but the OBB website says take bus 93. Can anyone comment on this?

Well it's a very short walk- I did it - you pass some lovely gardens/park on the way.
This is from the main station in the town center - many trains from Vienna serve a secondary station about a mile from the town center, across the Danube. |
OH, sounds great! I thought the walk would be longer and through industrial zones. We do arrive at the station close to the center.

City map with main station on it - at very top of map - you walk thru a park and by an old mansion that I think is a government building- may be a little longer than 10-15 minutes but a nice walk after you get to the park. |
Oh well link too long to take but Google Bratislava city center maps.

I was just researching how to get from the main Bratislava train station to our hotel in Stare Mesto, and every site I looked at said it was about a 30-minute walk. And our hotel is not very deep into Stare Mesto, but rather close to the river.

Yes it could be - I recall it as a short walk but that is subjective - so as it was quite a while ago not positive and should not have said short walk - to me it was - but I guess the Q is what bus is it - ask the information window at the station if nothing else.
Anyone know which bus or either is fine? |

Well this thread has comments by someone who 'always walks to the old town from the train station and says it is about 15 minutes' Again Bratislava from Vienna has more trains to the secondary newer station across the Danube so be sure of which station you are going to St Cirq. I went into the new one on a day trip from Vienna and walked to the old town thru residential areas - not the most scenic but just over a mile if I recall correctly. |
We're coming from Budapest, not Vienna, and I've already checked on the station. We're coming into Hlavana on the EuroCity train.
