If you mean the Hilton on the Boulevard Waterloo, you don't want Centrale. If you are coming to Brussels from Germany via Thalys or ICE train, the train won't stop at Centrale anyway. Don't get off at the Gare du Nord, the first train station in Brussels.
Assuming the Hilton you're referring to is the Hilton on Blvd. Waterloo, from the Gare du Midi train, you catch the metro 3 stops up to Louise and walk up the street (get off the metro, take the short escalator ride up, walk through the crowds and veer to your left to the escalator that takes you to the Blvd. Waterloo) past the designer shops to the hotel. Or get off one stop farther, Porte de Namur, and walk down (it's not a hilly street either way, though, very easy level walk). The Hilton is located almost exactly between the two stops. Or take a taxi--shouldn't be more than 8 euros or so from the Gare du Midi.
