Teide, the highest mountain on Spanish soil, is impressive, and I recommend the whole Teide National Park experience even though I didn't go all the way to the top when I last was here in the mid 70's. But the drive up here through the clouds and the sight of Teide is still very much alive: http://www.spain-tenerife.com/en/places/teide.html

@kimhe you must walk or you can go with a car ?

You can drive quite close to the top, then there is a cable car to near the summit, but to get right to the top you need to walk (and unless it has changed in the past few years, you need a specific permit that must be obtained before you go)
