WHICH AIRLINE TO THE US?

My family and I are going to the US by the end of May. We are offered several different airlines to go with. I seems that Delta, KLM and American are the cheapest. Which one should I choose? Which one should I avoid?

You should definatelly avoid American Airlines, bad! The airline I would recommend between Delta and KLM, I would choose KLM. But, I prefer UNITED or LUFTHANSA.

Oh..um.. DK you are going to get a lashing by Miss Joyce. She doesn't like those of us who do not recommend the American airlines for transcontinental flights. I think if you stick to the top 5 American airlines and the top European airlines you will be ok. As I posted in the US forum the top 5 airlines for safety, service, on time records etc., are 1) Southwest - aren't they teamed up with British Air now? 2)Alaska Airlines 3)Continental 4) American and 5) is United. Tops in Europe are KLM, British Air, Lufthansa, some like Icelandair and Virgin Air although it seems there is less leg room on these two budget carriers but their safety record is good!

Although I wouldn't consider myself a "seasoned" traveler abroad, I have done a few trips over the years & found Virgin Atlantic to be the best buy-- food, entertainment, attitude of staff, scheduling, etc.

Tricia ([email protected]), I do not understand why you are lashing out at DK for not preferring American Airlines, when you yourself posted a message, saying "DO NOT fly on American Airlines to EUROPE if you are looking for service, good food etc. British Air, KLM (Royal Dutch Airlines) Lufthansa etc are all good."?! I have copied per verbatim, what you wrote under the topic, "IS AMERICAN good Airline to London?" It reads as follows;

Message: Hi, I help answer questions in the website EUROTRIP (www.eurotrip.com- Cheap Flight Forum) Come in and visit us. We'll answer your question as best we can and often post specials to Europe as we constantly get e mails from airlines and
travelclubs as well as scan the newspapers. WE also have the able assistance of a professional travel agent who uses his computer to see if he can find you a lower fare. The posters in this "thread" are correct. DO NOT fly an American Airlines to
EUROPE if you are looking for service, good food etc. British Air, KLM (Royal Dutch Airlines) Lufthansa etc are all good. Good luck!..."
Anyway, I personally believe that KLM would be the best choice among the 3 airlines. I would also avoid American Airlines because I unfortunately had bad experiences with them.

If i have a choice n the money, i would fly Singapore Airline. Good service, safety record, the stewardess speak English, the food is good (not alway). There's a tv in front of the seat n movie to choose, if you are bored, play a game or two. Emirate Airline is the next i would choose. United Airline is OK. Have a good journey.
