Where's Paulo?

Does anyone know why Paulo has left the board? Did he give a reason before leaving? He was my favorite poster and helped out a lot in planning my trips.

elaine Oct 31st, 2001 10:21 AM

I've been wondering the same thing, hoping all is well with him.

Agent 009 Oct 31st, 2001 11:26 AM

He is a favorite of mine as well--a most helpful and courteous and intellignet gentleman. Even secret agents have favorites. Perhaps he is traveling and finding enough pleasure in real life experiences not to have to post messages on the internet.

Paulo is my hero. He did say he had been very busy at work about 2 months ago. I hope to see him return. We cannot afford to lose two superstars like he and Ed on this forum.

deepa Oct 31st, 2001 11:57 PM

You mean Ed's gone? That's terrible! BTW, where's Richard Vicek? (miss his replies that would start with - Good Morning ...)

Paulo is my hero too. I've really missed his sharing with us his vast knowledge and sound travel advice-a true gentleman and wise traveller. Hope he is well.

Yeah Paulo, if you are out there let us know. I have learned tons about Italy from you, along with Ed, Elaine, the Navigator, and a few others. You always give such detailed information and deliver with it with an obvious passion for the places you love.

I saw that Paulo won the photo of the month on Venice-word.com

That is, of course if Paulo's last name is Rizzi, which I thought it was....

jahoulih Mar 8th, 2002 05:56 AM

It is; however, the photo contest winner was a Paolo Rizzi of California, not Paulo Rizzi of Brazil.

Paulo gave us GREAT advice last summer -- we took his suggestion for a route over the Dolomites as well as eating at a restaurant he recommended. It was such SPECIFIC advice and we were SO glad we followed it. I have emailed him and told him he's missed. Maybe he'll respond .......... !!

Steve James Mar 8th, 2002 06:57 AM

This conversation seems to be going round and round in circles!

Jahoulih - did you get that 2 weeks in Umbria?

jahoulih Mar 8th, 2002 10:25 AM

No, I'll just have to read Carol's trip report.

z Mar 8th, 2002 10:30 AM

Paulo is still here everday, you just don't recognize him yet. Look carefully and you may just find him.

zzz Mar 8th, 2002 12:01 PM

Yep, he's still here among us. Just "saw" him yesterday, incognito, and just as informative as ever. Look closely...

paulofan Mar 8th, 2002 02:01 PM

I think I got it Mar 8th, 2002 03:10 PM
