where would you stay in positano?
the two that are in our price range(about 140 euros) are the villa rosa and miramare. they both look great. which would you choose?

There has been sooooo much written here about these two hotels. And probably folks who have stayed at one haven't stayed at the other.
We loved the VR: spectacular views, clean, cheery,"airy" room, centrally located, friendly staff. I know nothing about Miramare except what I read here, and it sounds great, also. |
ctroum,
My wife and her sister visited Positano in September. They stayed at La Fenice for @$150/night. Nice clean room with bath and a terrace with great views. The pool looked awesome and so did the beach access as did the grounds in general. Not a lot of amenities such as in-room phone and TV. For breakfast they got a hard roll and not great coffee. But compared to other more expensive places it seemed like a great value. JoeG |
Villa Rosa was amazing - centrally located, charming rooms, great views (it sits above Le Sirenese which boasts the best views in the city)....without a doubt, villa rosa.

Hi ct,
If you are willing to spend less money on a great, small hotel with terrific views, I highly recommend the Hotel Le Sirene in Praiano (6 km E of Positano). www.lesirene.com ((I)) |
