Every time I plan a trip to Europe, I tell myself I'm going to try something different, but I keep going back to Italy.

Hi Maidalsabel,

Bavaria, Austria and the Italian Dolomites! Eight trips, including five in the last seven years, with many more to come (hopefully).

Prague. 11 times, but I am starting to lose count. Will go again soon. Would not want to skip a year!

Netherlands around 10 times. ( Not because I love it there, but have good friends who live there! They always find cool places to take me, though. Living like a local makes it way more interesting).

Rome 3 times. (Next time, I would prefer to see it when it is under 100 degrees in the shade.)

Here's another vote for Paris! I'm planning my 5th trip for October, and I still have so many things I want to do and see!

I think I could spend every single Christmas in Gstaad. We went for the holidays and I just love the train ride to get there and being able to let the kids go slope hopping from one valley run to the next.

It is the real version of the train under the Christmas tree.

Other than that, I agree with you guys, Paris!

What a difficult question. There are so many places. I would say Italy and Austria. I loved the history and people of Italy.....they were so friendly, everywhere we went. But, I loved Austria. We stayed in a small town called Lofer....it is one of the most beautiful places i have been. We also loved salzburg, and really any place in austria. I would say the food in Italy was amazing.....Austria was fine......but italy's was great!

There too much to see, and too little time to see it in to keep going back to the same place.
I go back to the US but to a different area each time. In Eurpoe the only places I go back to are La Palma for a chillout holiday every few years, and the UK to visit family.
The only place I would love to go back to is Tanzania.

London, though having friends there skews my opinion. Nonetheless, I think there is enough to see and do to occupy several trips.

Paris, for all the obvious reasons.

Singapore, for what is possibly the best food on the planet.

I will also race back to Hong Kong, next chance I get.

New York is another place I find fascinating, but again, friends and family there mean my visits aren't typical.

Will let you know about Japan after my first trip, coming up soon - I suspect it will quickly race to the top of the list.

Paris. Just can't stay away! The elegance, the food, the gardens, the language, the museums, the street life...and did I say the food?

I keep thinking we should go somewhere new but I want to be in in Paris so much we're planning to go again in May (but will take 4 days in Belgium to go somewhere "new.&quot

Venice! First time went for 1 1/2 days. Second time for 6 days. When that wasn't enough, went for 14 days last year. If I can go again, I would want another 3 weeks!

London-

I've been back 6 times and still haven't seen everything! I've traveled to other cities in Europe but each time I have to include London in my plans.

Another vote for Paris! I get itchy with desire just thinking about it.

I also love Sicily. And Amsterdam.

Paris, of course. Looking forward to our 20th trip there in November. I thought we needed someplace new too, so will spend a few day in Amsterdam and Antwerp before returning to Paris for a final 2 weeks.

London and southern England is another, we've gone almost yearly for 40 years

Rome (we still have so much to see) and Scotland. Although we (husband and I) go to several countries multiple times we really focus on one or two areas and try to get to know those areas well. We rarely go to the exact same spot more than once (with the exception of Rome, London, Prague, etc.) where we begin our trips and move on.

I would really like to re-visit our earlier trips (i.e. ten years ago) and see them all through different eyes. We are now more knowledgeable about Europe in general, better read on history, know precisely what we want and are looking for, and so on.
