Where warm/sunny in Oct?

Hi, can someone tell me where it is warm and sunny in Europe in October? Warm being over 60 degrees. And safe too. Thanks!

I think a good answer to your question may be, it depends. I was in Italy almost all of October 2001 and about melted. I packed sort of "fall-ish" clothes that could be layered, but longed for linen and t-shirts. Temps were in the 80s.

Southern Spain is usually warm and sunny.

IM - The southern Greek islands are usually still warm in October.

I was in Kos the first half of October last year and it was in the high 70's.

The same would apply to Rhodes, Crete, Cyprus ...

Hope this helps ...

No guarantees, but South France can still be warm.

Weather info here : http://www.the-languedoc-page.com/la...er-history.htm shows average low 10C, average high 20C in October

I've been in Provence the last few Octobers and it's been quite warm most days - well over 60 F.
