Where to stay? Southern/Central Italy

My family and I are visiting Italy for a month and during our stay we want to visit Naples, Capri, Sorrento, Pompeii and Mt Vesuvius. Where would be a good place to stay if we want to visit all these places?

Sorrento is a good place to base yourselves. You can take the train to Naples and Pompeii and the boat to Capri.

Sorrento is the obvious choice with its variety and number of hotels, its proximity to the Circumvesuviana rail line, ferries and good restaurants.

Just got back from an awesome stay near Sorrento

at hoteldelfino.com booked on Otel.com for $60/nt

Awesome views of Capri Iscia from my hotel room

did pay an upgrade of 10 euro per person for a sea view

AWESOME breakfast free shuttles to/from Sorrento.

Day trip to all your areas from there via CircumVesuviano.

Sorrento Nice Hotels more expensive views not as great.

Also stayed at Villa Majestic there was good not great.

Happy Planning,
