Where to stay on Naxos?
Looking for recommendations on accomodations on the Greek Isle of Naxos. Either property and/or location, ie near what town on the island. <BR> <BR>Since this is a special vacation, price isn't our first concern... <BR> <BR>Thanks, <BR>Lori

We rented villas at <BR>http://www.wwnest.com/kamari/index.htm <BR> <BR>The accommodations were excellent, beautiful views, the owners are very nice. You will need a car, though, to really see the island.

We've been in Naxos three years ago and we stayed in couple of villas. We enjoyed best our stay in Palaka beach which was absolutly a dream. If you take a car or a bike it is 15 minutes from town so you relax during the day on the beach and enjoy the evening in the town. I don't remeber the villas name but they are all kind of the same in hat area.

Lori, <BR>We stayed at the Hotel Grotta, on the headland near the main town. It was about 15 min walk into town. Very nice place, not plush but room had private (small) bathroom and balcony. Lovely sunny breakfast room also had a few books and TV. Nice friendly Greek family owned and ran the place. Only downside was the walk into town. They have a van to collect people at the ferry terminal. <BR>Kay
