where to stay in windsor?
 

We have 2 days open at the end of our holiday in Sept.09. We are flying out of Heathrow and I would like to book a hotel/b+b in Windsor that would be easy to get to airport from hotel without a car. Looking to spend around 100 pounds/night or less for 2 adults. Any suggestions for places to stay greatly appreciated. Also any suggestions for sight-seeing besides the castle?

I think there is a travelodge right in center of town.

10-20 min walk to get to Eton from Windsor, according to their website.

It's worth a walk if you have time, across the river and through an older part of Windsor even if you just look at the school.
