where to stay in Westport

We have never stayed in Westport, any recommendations? We will be there on a Friday night in June, may not get into our first choice at this point. Thanks.

You might want to repost this in the U.S.forum. Somehow this got posted in the Europe forum.

I'm assuming the op meant Westport, Ireland.

My mistake. This was such an ambiguous and vaguely worded posting, I assumed it was CT. Sorry!

Sorry, that was confusing, assumed I was in an Ireland forum. I have reposted in USA, thanks.

So, are you asking about Ireland or Connecticut?

If you're asking about Ireland, why post in USA forum?

Just repost with a "Where to stay in Westport, Ireland" title in the Europe board. There are no seperate "country boards" - everything gets dumped into "Europe". The "Ireland" category is only for searching purpose.

I'm not sure whether this ever got reposted. Or whether the OP is still looking for suggestions. But we spent two nights in Westport last week and were very, very happy with our B&B. We stayed at Adare House on Quay Street.

Hi,
I'm originally from Fairfield Connecticut. It's very close to Westport. Are you talking about Conn or somewhere in Europe? natjgc

It was posted on the Ireland subforum, so I'm assuming it's Ireland rather than the US. If you're interested in apartments, I stayed at the Harbour Mill Apartments last summer. http://www.theharbourmill.com/ They're a little out of the town centre, but the location is great and the apartments are nice. It's only a short (and cheap) taxi journey to the town centre.
