Where to Stay in Valencia Spain- Town or near Beach?
Hi, We are 2 couples who will be spending a week in Barcelona and 3 days in Valencia at the end of September and and are wondering if we should stay near the beach or in town in Valencia. We love swimming and sunning at the beach so wondered if makes most sense to stay nearby. If so- any recommendations for particularly lovely beaches? Or considering staying in the older part of town and commuting to beaches. Recommendations for moderately priced places to stay would also be appreciated Thanks for your thoughts

At the end of September ..might be better to stay in town, IMO
The beach can be easily reach by public transport...
The beach we visited was Arenas..
luxury hotel Las Arenas is right there as well as several nice restaurants.
Valencia is a lovely city.

Yes I would agree with the town location. Two years ago we stayed in Citizentral Juristas (booked on booking.com). It is a lovely propertywhere you can walk everywhere. We chose it primairily because we were on a driving trip and prefer appart/hotel typ properties. It has A/C elevator and even a coin-op laundry which was handy for us. They have 1-2 bedroom apartments in my recollection. It is in the historic center walking distance to the main market and restaurants. We parked our car and didn't really attempt to drive in the city while we were there-just used it to come in and out at the beginning and end of the trip

Yes, end September in town. The historic center is most apealing.
For the beach season, I would have recommended El Parador de Saler, good hotel in a in a natural park a few steps from a never crowded beach, chairs and umbrellas from the Parador. Frequent buses to Valencia city center.
