Where to stay in the Cotswolds?
I have read millions of great posts on places to stay in the Cotswolds but was just wondering how you all found out about them. Is there a comprehensive website which lists accommodation at pubs, B & B's etc.?
Has anyone stayed at The Bell Inn in the village of Willersey which apparently is about a mile away from Broadway.

Hi Toni...I was (and am) a little psycho about choosing places to stay. I make a list of every thing recommended in guidebooks (usually just the major ones...rick steve's, etc) and then look up as much info about them online as i can find. I also post for personal recommendations-not websites or search engines for b&b's-they are a dime a dozen, but for PERSONAL recommendations. then look up all the info on them. Then I stress about it a little while and finally decide on one! I do this b/c we have made one trip overseas (in March) and are planning a second one in March 2003 and b/c we don't get to do this often-I want it to be perfect. Our trip this March was just that. We stayed in Chipping Campden at the Kettlehouse-a Rick Steves recommendation-unfortunalety the owners have sold and it is no longer a b&b establishment. This was a very long reply and probably TMI! oh well!
Hi Ani,

Sounds like we are two peas in a pod!
I do exactly the same thing. I travelled for four years, twenty years ago and haven't been to Europe since. My husband hasn't been at all, soooo everthing has to be perfect, right? As you say, a girl can never do too much
research. I normally look for a website, hopefully see something I like, then search for personal opinions. My family thinks I'm obsessive.
I'll be looking forward to your trip
report next year Ani. We are going for our big trip next May for two months. Probably TMI from me too, oh well!
