Where to stay in South of France May 25 &26 ?

Three of us (including my 19 year old daughter) are travelling from Cinque Terre and have 2 days to spend in the South before heading back to Paris for 2 nights and then home to Canada. Cannes Film Festival and Moroco Grand Prix are on, so there are NO rooms available in Nice. Any ideas ?

We stayed in Menton...it was beautiful, on the water, but not as crowded as Monoco or Nice. Will try to check my notes as to what hotel we stayed at...it was lovely! We were traveling with our 4 teenagers who enjoyed swimming in the Mediterranean. Email me if you would like more information.

We have stayed in Menton for a few days on several of our trips. We enjoyed the Best Western Prince de Galles on our last trip. Hope you find a hotel with availability for your days.

I liked Antibes, but it will probably also be booked as it's between Nice and Cannes. Are you willing to go inland? The Hotel Calendal in Arles was lovely. I also adored the Chateau Roussan near St. Remy, although other reviewers say it is getting run-down. (I'd have a hard time believing it's anything short of heaven.) Aix-en-Provence is a delightful place, but I did it as a day trip, so I can't recommend a hotel. My dream is to someday stay at the Villa Gallici in Aix. If money is no object for you, I'd consider it.

We stayed at the Hotel des Ambassadeurs in Menton. It was beautiful, large rooms, well located and a very friendly staff.

I loved staying in Antibes at La Bastide du Bosquet (see
www.lebosquet06.com/Anglais/Intro/Intro.htm). A very interesting city in a gorgeous setting, but I think the Picasso Museum is closed for renovations. . .
