Waterfalls near our itinerary routes
We leave this month for a trip with National Geographic to Norway. It ends in Bergen where we overnight, then have 1 full day to explore Bergen.
The following morning we have a "Farewell Breakfast" then on to the Airport where we pick up our rental car, leave Bergen ~ drive to the Walaker Hotell Solvorn, stay 1 night
We then drive to Geiranger, stay 3 nights at a self catering rental.
Next we leave Geiranger drive to Hjelle Hotel, Hjelledalen, (1/2 hr from Stryn) stay 2 nights
Leave Hjelle Hotel, drive to Roisheim Hotel ( 20 minutes north of Lom) stay 1 night
Drive to Walaker Hotell, Solvorn, stay 3 nights
Finally, leave Walaker Hotel, drive via Routes 5, 52, 7 and 16 to Oslo Airport and return car, stay 1 night at Airport before flying home
I have some notes on things to do, but always welcome more!
And would really like to know where the best waterfalls are near our travels.

From Solvron you might want to take a day's outing to Flåm, take the train to the top and walk back down. The train passes by a big waterfall.
We stayed in Solvorn, and some of the guests went kayaking in the glacial lakes that had just opened. Others went horseback riding. Bicycles were available for those who wanted to ride them along the fjord--one had to take the ferry to get to a road along the fjord.

yo Wrenwood:
I agree with Michael's post above..the falls near Flam are quite dramatic....."Kjossfossen"... please click on this pic and click on right hand arrows for two scenes of the falls.
The narrow gauge RR to the falls just short ride from town can give you these views up close. You'll also be serenaded by the "woman in red" (see pic 2). If you wish you can see all of these Norway pics by clicking the arrows back and forth. https://picasaweb.google.com/stuartt...77297268663538 ENJOY!!

You'll see waterfalls everywhere - driving from Voss to Gudvangen on your way to Solvorn you'll see at least two spectacular waterfalls. Make sure you drive Stalheimskleiva old road, not the new road in tunnel. With a car avoid staying at the busy cruise port of Flåm - there are plenty of places with great scenery and not crowded with tourists.
Consider the car ferry from Gudvangen to Kaupanger - that will take you along the Nærøyfjord with plenty of waterfalls. Similarly the ferry between Geiranger and Hellesylt passes plenty of waterfalls.
