Where to stay in Prague
I'l have two adult sons, a wife, and two granddaughters in Prague for a few days in August. Since I'm paying most of the tab, I want a place that's inexpensive.

Suggest the Cloisters. A nice 2 star hotel about six or seven blocks from the Charles Bridge.

It also has attached to it, at a lower cost, the Pensione Unitas. The pensione occupies the area near the entrance and the Cloisters is accessed by walking down the hall containing the pensione. The pension seemed to be full of teenagers to college aged kids.

The Cloister rooms were very nice, clean and ensuite. It appears the pensione had communcla bathrooms and showers.

US

Uncle Sam, you should get your facts straight. The Cloister Inn is rated a 4 star. Stick to something you know about, possibly the US?

Edie,

You're out of your mind, I've stayed there before...have you?!?

And if the Cloisters is 4 star, I must have missed it, darlin!

One of the requirements for 4-star designations in most countries (or guide books) is a full service restaurant, which the Cloister Inn does not have.

Edie,

Guess what, I just went to their website and we're both wrong...it's a 3 star...and believe me that's puching it!
