Where to stay in Paros & Santorini

Hi there

We will be in the greek islands this september (late in the month). We have chosen Paros & Santorini. Any suggestions for good accommodation, close to beaches, restaurants , shopping, nightlife & great views etc. on these islands. There are 2 couples travelling together. We do not mind sharing villas/apartments or having own rooms. Would like to be able to cook some meals though so would need cooking facilities. Look forward to hearing from you

For accommodation on Paros, suggest you contact Michael and Karin Shepherd (American expats) who are based in Aliki on Paros. Their website is: http://parosparadise.com/.

Hi

It would be better to state your budget (in euros) for accommodation. On Paros we stayed at the Sunset View - http://www.sunsetview-paros.com. We had a fantastic stay. Look for our balcony and sunset photos here - http://s62.photobucket.com/albums/h1.../Greece/Paros/

I have stayed at this hotel and it was nice and the price was right. It is a short walk into the centre of town. About a 10 minute walk. There are a whole street of hotels in this area. Across the street is a cheaper hotel called Pension Summertime. None of the hotels on this street have a volcano view. If you want that, the hotels are much more expensive.

On Santorini the village that best suits your list of requirements is Fira. Check the Scirocco Apartments, Loucas Hotel, Hotel Kavalari, Tzekos Villas, Aigialos Villas, Enigma Apartments, Porto Fira Suites, Hotel Atlantis, Theoxenia Hotel and Athina Repose Suites.

I just came back from Santorini and stayed at the beautiful Aroma Suites in Fira. Just beautiful rooms, gorgeous caldera and sunset views and the owner, Mr Fanes, is the nicest person you could meet. I highly recommend this place: www.aromasuites.com.

I am just back from Santorini as well We stayed in Kamari most of the time but 2 nights in Oia. One night in the Best Western Museum hotel which has a lovely pool and spa. (100 euro per night) then we stayed at Caldera villas
http://www.santonet.gr/hotels/calderavillas/ Its on the cliff sides and lovely with a small pool. The Donkeys go by on the footpath down. Pool small but lovely. this was 150 per night and i would definately stay again.
