Where to stay in Palermo

Help please, we need a place to stay in are around Palermo maybe Monreale as a home base for 2 adults 2 childern age 9 & 16 anything around $400.00 a night.

Has anyone taken a cooking class that was easy going and fun with teens?

We stayed at the Hotel Massimo Plaza which is in a very good location and charming though probably rooms too small for a home base. We saw and really liked the look of Grand Hotel Al Sole which is also really central.

In your earlier posts, you say that you are planning two nights in Palermo in July.

I suspect that this B&B with large suites will already be fully booked, but you could try:

(I don't know it from personal experience, but it has been recommended frequently here and falls well within your budget.)

Hotel Ambasciatori is conveniently located and agreeable. The rooms are standard three-star size; there is a rooftop terrace. Be aware that it is on the top floors of a six- or seven-story building:

Moving around Sicily makes it a little more challenging for a family. Last time we rented a great apt. in Roma for the whole visit that was much easier.
Thank you, I will check on the hotels.

Perhaps a suite at the Plaza Opera Hotel?
It's gorgeous and centrally located. I want to say it runs about 320 Euro a night for a suite (depending on season.

Also check out the cooking courses at Cin Cin. Italians love kids and if you let them know ahead of time I'm sure that they will accommodate.
