Where to stay in or around Sandefjord?

I got a cheep weekend flight from the UK and I've never been to Norway.

Any suggestions of a small, cheap B&B in the Sandefjord area?

Any suggestion of things to do? Must sees?

I assume it's on Ryanair to Torp airport? I know it takes about 80 minutes to get to Oslo on the bus from there, but that's where I'd go, rather than stay in Sandefjord.

But if you want to visit Sandefjord, check this site:

I've decided not to do Oslo... want to be more out in coutryside and with Norweian People. Visiting local bars, and more rural coastline. Oslo seems to be just another big city.... and I've had my fill of big cities.

Thanks for the link!

Thanks for the responses.... staying at Millioes B&B. Have a concert lined up for the first night. Hope to visit the local Baptist Church before flying back home on the Sunday

It was nice. The lady was fiendly. The beds were fairly basic, but I was warm and enjoyed the fact that I could get my own breakfast.

Would recommend Millies.
Very close to everything in Sandefjord.
Although the taxi journey seemed to cost a fortune.

Can you check and see if I left a "Taz" sock? ;-)

Where did you end up staying? We are currently in Sandefjord w/family. Always would like to know places to stay for others who may visit this area in my family. Here due to family health emergency this time...unfortunately.

Just saw Stavern today (half hr west of Sandefjord today)...just past Larvik. Was again struck by its colorful beauty....simple but very quaint. Will definitely still recommend it to family. It seems to be focusing tself more & more on art & displaying it. Anyway, just wanted to mention this little secret...so close to Sandefjord.

If in Sandefjord don't miss its parks out on Peninsulas.
