Where to stay in Dublin (inexpensively)
 

We are spending 4 (2 different) weekend nights in Dublin at the end of April and need advice on where to stay. There are 7 of us (3 kids, 4 adults) so I believe we would need two doubles and a triple. We would like to be within walking distance of the city and the less expensive the better. We stayed at the Arlington O'Connell street before and loved it but would prefer to find something less expensive if possible.

What is your actual budget? And, depending on the ages of the kids, you might be able to book a triple and a family room sleeping 2 adults and 2 children.

Thank you for your help. The problem we are having is that we have a family of 5 (three kids) and my sister and her husband so it seems like we have to get 3 rooms. I haven't been able to find anywhere that has a room for 5. It just starts getting expensive with so many people and the conversion to euros. I did find additional options on eurocheapo so thank you all for the help. I really appreciate it!

I stayed at the B&B Park House two years ago for &pound;50 per night for a single. It is a short bus ride to the center. Best chowda ever at Ryan's FXB Grill.

Have you looked at 13 Leeson Court? It's a big attractive B&B, central, and with a good breakfast.

Try Egans Guest House. Not fancy, but clean and inexpensive. Very nice people, but I think ownership may have changed hands since ee stayed there in 2007.

It would be a rather long walk to the city, but a 1.40 Euro bus ride gets you there in 10 minutes.
