I was in Burgundy in March 2016. We spent two nights in Dijon at Le Petit Tertre which was a lovely B&B right in the historic center.
We also spent two nights in Beaune at another great B&B. You can check out my trip report for more info on both.
Personally, I preferred Beaune to Dijon because of its small-town feel. There were plenty of wonderful restaurants in both cities.
