Where to stay in Athens?
Hi, I will be in Athens for about a week in the begginning of August. Where is a good place to stay?
I will be there by myself. I'm 21. I don't need anything fancy. Just a CLEAN room with a bed and a bathroom, located in a centric, safe, but not too noisy area. I'm looking for value. I heard AC is a must. Is that true?

I stayed at the Hotel Tempi last year. It fits all your requirements. I used the A/C when I was there in October.

We also stayed at the Achilleas. It's on a side street so is very quiet, but was an easy walk to pretty much anywhere. We spent 4 nights there at the beginning of our trip and 2 nights on the way back. Clean (I'm big on clean and I had no issues), quiet with a good breakfast. We booked our trip as a package, so I don't know precisely how much we paid per night, however, none of our hotels were exorbitant.
Hope that helps.

Attalos Hotel - can't be beat. I paid 80 euros per night for a double. It was clean, quiet despite being in the heart of the city, great location, nice rooftop bar, decent breakfast and helpful staff. It's extremely close to the metro stop also.
