Where to stay before leaving Milan's Linate airport
 

We are traveling in Italy for 3 weeks and will be leaving from Linate airport. We will be in this vicinity for only one night. I am hesitant to go into Milan and am wondering if there is a small interesting place to stay rather than just staying at the airport. Our plane leaves at 11:00am.

Linate is practically in the city. I stay in the middle of downtown even for earlier departures.

It is not Malpensa.

I completely agree with Greg: Linate is literary a city airport and you can stay in the center of MIlan until 8:30am !

I agree with Greg as well. We were there a week ago and stayed a block from the Duomo. It was only a 10-minute ride to the hotel from Linate.

We are flying out of Linate in September and I made reservations at hotel Gran duca di York based on Trip Advisor and perhaps some comments on this website. I know I read other positive reviews, but not sure where. It is a bit more than we usually spend but for Milan, near the duomo and our last couple of nights it appears to be a good choice. Time will tell.
