where to sit at Prague State Opera
Which seats have a better view of the stage-first few rows on the floor or box seats on the side-lowest level? Thanks, hope someone can help before I book seats.
|
Frankly, neither. We sat in the stalls towards the back ,and had an excellent view as these seats are raked. The ones further forward are not. Also, a snag with the boxes is that if you are sat behind the front row, they are not staggered so the view may be obstructed by other opera goers. It is a beauitful theatre and the restaurant next door is also very good, and a nice change from the potato and bread dumlings you will find elsewhere. Good luck!

Thanks so much for your reply!

I meant dumplings!!!

The restaurant next door is Zahrada v. Opere. You can read more about it if you access <The Pancaky Papers: Thingorjus in Praha>. Just type <Pancaky Papers> into the search box at the top of the page. Thin gives the restaurant top marks.

The previous poster is correct - Do NOT sit in row 2 of any box at that theatre(especially a side box). Major obstructed view. You are better off with regular row seats.

Does anyone know what the seats in the second balcony are like? They are the only seats available for the performance of La Traviata we'd like to see. Thanks for the help.
|
As long as they are not box seats, they should be OK. No major obstructions, etc. I've sat in the second balcony, but the seats were dead center, so it was great.

Thanks, Amp. The seats are dead center so they should be okay. Thanks again for your input.
