Where to park in Matera for day trip?
 

We will be based in San Michele near Brindisi and are planning on driving to Matera for a day trip.

Looking for advice on where to park the car for the day.

Considering arranging a guide or at the very least will need to visit the tourist centre first.

Have read a number of posts on here, but couldn't find info on parking or location of tourist centre.

We were there in May and had no problem at all finding street parking right in the middle of the Sassi.

We spent the night in Matera and there was a large parking lot near the center of town and within walking distance of Matera Antica.
