Where to meet at CDG

HI all-
Heading to CDG next week and my Dad arrives at 2E on Air France, while I arrive an hour later at 2A via American. No connections to make, just staying in Paris, but what is the easiest place for us to meet up to grab a cab together.

Please note, my Dad is 75, he's in great health and a hearty walker, but intimidated by speaking no French whatsoever and reluctant to ask for directions.

Is it best that I meet him somewhere, or should he try and venture to 2A if it is not too much trouble.

TIA

Both of you should just head to an official taxi stand. Look for the overhead signs with the word Taxis and a picture of one - no need to speak French for that. Here are the locations of the taxi stands for Terminal 2:

Terminal 2A/2C – Exit 6
Terminal 2B/2D – Exit 7
Terminal 2E/2F – Exit 1

Since he arrives an hour before you, he could walk over to Exit 6 and meet you there.

Just tell your father to look at the screens for your flight to make sure it is on time and then go to the baggage exit of 2A. 2E-2C-2A are all in a straight line anyway, so there is absolutely no risk of getting lost.

The arrival screens at the exit show "plane landed" followed by "plane at gate" and then "baggage delivery has begun" so people are aware of exactly what is happening and when they can begin to see people walking through the door.

There are refreshment stands near every exit, and you don't have to speak a word of French to get something from them.

thanks! Neither one of us will be checking bags, but I am assuming that we'll still walk thru the same door to exit.

How far a walk is it from E to A? I keep seeing things about shuttle busses or something between gates?

Sorry, you would think after at least a dozen trips to Paris, I'd have this down, but I've never been meeting someone before.

The walk is several hundred meters but still no big deal.

Appreciate it!

If his plane arrives at L or M gates, he'll first need to take a quick train to the main part of 2E where he'll go through passport control. If his plane arrives at K gates, he's already in the main part of 2E and just proceeds to passport control. Then as kerouac said it's a straight line from 2E to 2C to 2A. There's also a landside shuttle if the distance is an issue.
