where to leave luggage in madrid - no hotel
 

plans have changed. I am in madrid from early morning to late night before a 11pm departure. Would like to tour Madrid during the day. Anyone know where I can store my luggage because I don't think I can check in through to my final destination from my first point of departure because of the long layover . that is what the airlines are telling me. Thanks

You can store your luggage in Atocha train station from 6:30AM to 10:20PM
In Chamartin train station from 7:00AM to 11:00 PM.
Ther is a combine metro and train station with a direct line to the airport called Nuevos ministerios but I don't know if there are storages facilities.

I will be arriving and departing from the airport. How far is the airport from the train station?

You can also leave at the airport,
there is a storage facility just outside terminal one.
I had the idea that you were in town, there is no need to go to the station.
