where to hike in june? switz? austria? dolomites

is it too early to hike in the dolomites/cortina d'ampezzo in june? many hotels seem to be closed then.
we loved wengen/murren/zermatt.
where else cld we hike/walk for 3-4 days and stay in one place?

Sopra Bolzano,(ober Bozen) has wonderful mountain hotels, very traditional South Tirol atmosphere, walk/hike the paths of Freud, as this was one of his haunts.

And Sopra Bolzano is accessed directly from Bolzano train station area by a nice cable car. You can also drive up.

don't know if you would be interested in this holiday company.
I have used them for organised walking holidays for nearly 10 years now.
There is a wide variety of holidays avaiable, from sightseeing /walking holidays to high mountain hutting trips.
you can arrange to meet them in the "resort" area or join up with them in on of the UK airports they fly from.(prices adjusted accordingly)
I have found them to be very well organised and reasonably priced.
maybe you prefer your own thing.
The Austrian Tyrol has some very good walking trails and you can get some great deals on many hotels during the summer months.I stayed in Kitzbuhel a couple of years ago and did a fair bit of walking from there, using local buses taxis and ski lifts to get to various parts of the area.

We have just come back from an amazing week snowshoeing and skiing with Collett's Mountain Holidays and what made it so impressive, other than the stunning scenery, excellent pistes and wonderful wine was the staff's attention, enthausiasm and kindness.

They ran organised days out for skiing and snowshoeing (something I had never tried before) and were attentive but never intruded on our holiday.

The food was as superb in our chalet, Haus Valentin, as it was in the many Rifugios we stopped at for lunch, the general cost whilst in the Dolomites was very low compared to our past skiing trips to Austria and France. We enjoyed ourselves so much we have already booked for this summer! They start their walking holidays at the end of may but we're going on the 21st of June to try some via ferrata! I think it very much depends on how much snow they have in the winter - This year was a lot...
