Where to go next?

My husband and I took our first trip to Europe last April. We spent two fabulous weeks in Italy and loved it. We would like to return to Europe early next April but cannot decide where to go. Places on our short list are Spain, Greece, Egypt (husband's pick) or return to Italy again. Any suggestions?

I've traveled only once to the Middle East (last month actually) but from what people have told me, I would not base an entire vacation in Egypt, but that's me.
You can get more information on that in the Africa/Middle East forum elsewhere here at fodors.com, just click on Talk, above.

For your next vacation, how long will you have?

I'm partial to Spain, having not been to Greece or Egypt. We did a month-long driving tour of Spain five or six years ago, and still did not see everything we wanted to see. It's an amazing and diverse country--Andalucia isn't anything like Catalonia, which is nothing like Castile, etc. You could divide your time in such places as Madrid (including Toledo, Segovia and Avila maybe), Barcelona, Seville, Granada and Cordoba, according to your preferences. If you don't want to drive, there is train service from place to place.

I've never been to Spain or Egypt, but have been to other European countries a couple of times. I vote for Greece. Beautiful countryside and incredible sense of history.

Thanks everyone for your responses. We only will have two weeks and since we must go in late March or early April because of my husband's work schedule, I would like to go to a destination that is reasonably warm or at least not rain (I'm from Oregon and we get more than our share of wet weather). Please keep your suggestions coming!
