Where to go in Paris w/ 9 &3 yr old kids?

Hello Fodorites,

I would really appreciate any advice on where to go in Paris with an 8yr old and 3 yr old over the NYE week/weekend. Suggestions on Family-friendly restaurants (mid priced preferred)are also welcome. Thank you and Happy New Year to All !

One activity that I would strongly suggest is a visit to the Paris Museum of Natural History. I forget the French name but it is easily found. It is a marvelous exhibit, well thought out and well executed. The children will love it. It's on three levels. The ocean, the land and the sky.
The land has a long column of animals entering THE ARC 2 by 2. Truly spectacular.

Have fun and Happy New Year.

Also has a pleasant restaurant.

Go to DisneyWorld - Paris and they'll love you forever!
Next choice - A tour of all the Carrousels especially the one in Luxembourg Gardens.

Not sure about EuroDisney suggestion. We were there several years ago in January, and lots of attractions were closed during winter. Though you might have better luck with NYE. Also, many of the rides are not suitable for 3yr olds. You'll have enough attractions in Paris proper.

Luxemborg gardens(carousel, pick-up soccer games), Eiffel tower, crepe stands to name a few. also our kids got a big kick out of people who brought their dogs to lunch.

I don't know if it operates during winter but, your kids would always remember floating sailboats on the "pond" in the Tuilleries.

Have Fun
